Fidus Systems develops and supplies drop-in replacements components for obsolete parts. These interposers are form, fit and function compatible with the obsolete component.

Fidus FS7516™ CMOS Multiplier

FS7516 Functional Block Diagram

One of the examples of Fidus’ IC replacement products is the Fidus FS7516™ CMOS Multiplier which provides an obsolescence solution to the IDT IDT7216L and Analog Devices AD90109 64-pin DIP package. Fidus used in-house expertise in hardware and FPGA design and layout services to create a new replacement chip that provided the same function as the obsolete part. The new IC not only reduced operational costs for Fidus’ customer, it is also readily available for other companies who may require a replacement for the IDT7216L or AD90109 parts.

The low power 16 x 16 bit multipliers are ideal for fast, real time, digital signal processing (DSP) applications. The FS7516 is designed with readily available devices ensuring confidence in its supply availability.  It is ideal for applications requiring high-speed multiplication such as fast Fourier transform analysis, digital filtering, graphic display systems, speech synthesis and recognition and in meeting any system requirement where multiplication speeds of a microcomputer are inadequate.

Fidus FS2812HS FIFO Memory

The FS2812HS is a form, fit, function replacement for the MJ2812HS 32-word by 8-bit first-in first-out (FIFO) memory.  The device has completely independent read and write controls and three state outputs controlled by an output enable pin (OE).  Data on the data inputs (D0 – D7) is written into the memory by a pulse on load (PL).  The data word automatically ripples through the memory until it reaches the output or another data word.

Fidus FS2813HS FIFO Memory

The FS2813HS is a form, fit, function replacement for the MJ2813HS, a 32-word by 9-bit first-in first-out (FIFO) memory. The device has completely independent read and write controls and three state outputs controlled by an output enable pin (OE). Data on the data inputs (D0 – D8) is written into the memory by a pulse on load (PL). The data word automatically ripples through the memory until it reaches the output or another data word.
